#10 Creative Commons

Does CC seem like a good idea? Yes, b/c so many of us are creating useful and breath-taking materials it seems a shame to let them sit on "shelves."

How could you use it with student projects? I do use this, as Lisa has known. In my journalism and media workshop classes students are encouraged to visit CC for creative accessories/inspiration. Sure seems like it has grown in volume even since last May. I did tag it on Delicious too.


Could this help or hinder their understanding and respect of copyright law? I think copyright law has been in trouble since forever but the 'net has certainly exacerbated the issues. I like being able to get the nod so easily from other creative people. It allows me to have a bigger pool to choose from, which to some paid artist who likes to dominate the marketplace a headache.
